As a practicing minimalist, I’m on my way to clearing out the clutter in my home. However, I always find things that I find difficult to throw away, which is a very common reaction for people who practice minimalism.
However, as a supporter of the simple life and minimalism, I decided to get rid of the majority of the unnecessary items. We must, however, consider environmental friendliness.
Today, I’ll show you one of my ideas for reusing an old iPhone 5 that has been phased out in the United States. Yes, I couldn’t decide whether or not to throw away my iPhone, so I devised a better way to use it. 😀
Flip clocks have recently become popular. I simply love it as well. I like how classic it looks, and how well it reflects the minimalism style. However, I don’t want to add another cluster to the house while I’m clearing out the clusters.
So the old iPhone inspired me. What if this phone could be used as a flip-lock? This way, I can reuse it instead of throwing it away, and I won’t have to buy a new clock for my house. Most importantly, it will make me very happy. Is there anything more important than that?
So I went to the app store and found an app that I like. I now have a flip-clock on my desk!! Isn’t it fantastic?
I’ll keep looking for new ways to repurpose my old iPads and iPhones. I hope this has influenced you in some way.
Another piece of advice: if you replace an electronic with a new model, trade it in or sell the old one; don’t keep it if you’re not going to use it. It will inevitably become a burden. Just like what I’m going through right now. We’ve learned our lesson!
Happy repurposing!!
